The Who's Tommy Red Bank Theatre reviews
Great Show, Terrible Security!
I had heard stories about The Who's Tommy shows being abruptly canceled or cut short due to various reasons, so I was a little nervous. The entire group was pleasantly surprised in fine form, full of as much energy as they had at the beginning. I think everyone was happy with a great set that didn't shy away from the hits or the deeper tracks. The venue's security was the only problem I had - they made sure to pat everyone down checking for weapons and whatnot, but were nowhere to be seen when a fight broke out in the crowd. You would assume that they'd think something was up when a large area cleared out as two people exchanged blows, but minutes passed before a couple of staff members sauntered over long after the altercation had petered out on its own (and this is a small venue, so there really wasn't any excuse). I'm not sure if they were busy watching the concert, but I hope they're more vigilant next time.
